CarGurus Overview

2010 Dodge Dakota Laramie Crew Cab 4WD

Offering style and comfort in spades, the 2010 Dakota Laramie Crew Cab 4WD is loaded with every feature in Dodge's arsenal. The large cabin provides generous accommodation for 5 or 6 passengers, while the 5-foot-4-inch cargo bed can handle up to 1,340 pounds of payload.

While the standard 3.7-liter V6 engine looks good on paper, with 210 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque, it's hampered by a low-tech four-speed automatic transmission that can't cope with the real-world demands of powering a 4,669-pound truck. An optional 4.7-liter V8 greatly improves acceleration and enables the Dakota Crew Cab 4WD to tow up to 6,750 pounds. Power is transmitted to the road via a part-time 4WD system with an electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case.

Interior appointments in the Laramie Crew Cab 4WD are downright luxurious; leather upholstery covers the seats, and an excellent Alpine stereo system delivers 276 watts of crisp sound. Other standard niceties include keyless entry, remote engine start, and an overhead console with trip computer.

2010 Dodge Dakota Laramie Crew Cab

As the top trim level in its model range, Dodge's 2010 Dakota Laramie Crew Cab is chock full of comfort and convenience features. The spacious Crew Cab configuration provides ample space for 5 or 6 passengers and can carry up to 1,600 pounds of payload in its 5-foot-4-inch cargo bed.

Standard power in the Dakota Laramie Crew Cab comes from Dodge's rather coarse 3.7-liter V6 engine. Generating 210 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque, the V6 mates to a four-speed automatic transmission. An optional 4.7-liter V8 makes 302 hp, which greatly improves the 4,400-pound Dakota Laramie Crew's acceleration. Both powerplants drive the rear wheels via a 8.25-inch open differential.

Befitting its status as the top trim level, the Dakota Laramie Crew Cab features a number of luxurious standard features. The truck's exterior is dressed up with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels and chrome trim. Inside the Laramie Crew features supple leather upholstery, a powerful Alpine stereo with 6-CD changer, and a 6-way power driver's seat.
