Overview of 2010 Chevrolet Suburban LS 2500 By Eric Tallberg
The brawny, rear-wheel-drive 2010 Chevrolet Suburban LS 2500 full-size SUV packs a 6.0-liter V8 powerplant that, under the management of its standard six-speed auto-manual transmission, pounds out 352 hp and 382 lb-ft of torque. This potent V8 features heavy-duty engine and transmission cooling systems, as well as variable-valve timing (VVT) and Flex Fuel (FFV) capability, and cylinder deactivation at cruising speeds. Despite all this, while EPA fuel-economy figures are unavailable, rest assured that the 6.0-liter FFV V8 has a hefty appetite for gas, and even more so for E85 ethanol-based fuel.
Able to tow some 9,600 pounds when properly equipped, the nine-passenger 2010 Suburban LS 2500 coddles passengers with all the same standard and optional amenities as its 1500 sibling. Such amenities include power windows, door locks, and mirrors, cruise control, dual-zone air conditioning, and a single-CD player with six speakers and satellite radio reception, as well as the available DVD navigation/rearview camera package, power sunroof, and rear-seat DVD entertainment.
This overview covers the LS 2500 trim only.
