Overview of 2010 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ AWD By Michael Perkins
The top-tier trim of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox is the LTZ AWD, offering four-wheel power from its 2.4-liter four or optional 3.0-liter V6 engine. Either is paired with a six-speed automatic and gets the benefit of traction control. There is full leather throughout, and the front bucket seats are heated with 8-way power for the driver. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is a tilt and telescoping unit, but is not included in the memory system, which governs the seat and the heated power mirrors. Further power features include a power liftgate, windows, doors, and remote keyless entry and start. The Pioneer sound system has an integrated iPod adapter, Bluetooth, and controls on the steering wheel. The driver also gets a tachometer and trip computer, cruise control, compass, and an automatically dimming rearview. There’s rear privacy glass and a cargo cover, as well as roof rails and foglights. Daytime running lights and automatic headlights mean you don’t even have to think about turning them on and off, even when using the variable-intermittent front wipers. Rear glass is covered by a wiper and washer combination with a defogger. Safety features include hill ascent control, anti-skid, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist, and six standard airbags.
This overview covers the LTZ AWD trim only.
