Overview of 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible 1LT By Michael Perkins
With its manually operated convertible top and unique body kit, people will be sure to recognize the Grand Sport Convertible. Powered by a 6.2-liter V8, it comes with your choice of a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, which will come with accompanying gear and axle ratios, depending. The Grand Sport Convertible also comes with additional engine cooling, wider 18-inch front and 19-inch rear alloy wheels, and upgraded antilock four-wheel disc brakes. To make sure those wheels stay planted, they’ve been wrapped in run-flat tires, and the Grand Sport Convertible also comes with traction control, a limited-slip differential, and anti-skid, not to mention a sport suspension.
The GS Convertible offers as much comfort as performance with leather bucket seats, dual-zone automatic climate controls, and a list of power features that include heated mirrors, windows, doors, and remote keyless access, entry, and start. The driver’s bucket has 6-way power and a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel offers controls for the AM/FM/CD/MP3 player and cruise. The stereo is satellite-ready and has a digital-media-player connection. One year of OnStar is included. A tachometer, compass, outside-temperature indicator, center console, and floormats are standard, as are illuminated visor mirrors.
You won’t lack illumination with foglights, daytime running lights, and automatic Xenon headlights all standard, not to mention intermittent front wipers. Dual-front and side airbags and a theft-deterrent system complete the list of standard safety features.
This overview covers the Grand Sport Convertible 1LT trim only.
