2010 Chevrolet Colorado Work Truck Ext. Cab 4WD Trim Overview

As the largest model in Chevrolet's 2010 Colorado Work Truck trim line, the Extended Cab 4WD offers solid, capable performance and bare-bones amenities. Riding on a 126-inch wheelbase the Work Truck Ext. Cab 4WD has a 6-foot bed that can carry a 1,441-pound maximum payload.

All four wheels are driven via an electronically controlled transfer case. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, with a four-speed automatic optional. The 2.9-liter inline-four engine produces 185 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque, yet struggles when burdened with a long-wheelbase chassis and heavy 4WD components.

The interior is best suited to work duties and features cargo compartments underneath the truncated (and barely habitable) rear bench. Basic amenities include air-conditioning, cruise control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Safety features are numerous, with antilock brakes, stability control, and six airbags all standard.
