Overview of 2010 Chevrolet Colorado Work Truck 4WD By Jesse Berger
Adding four-wheel drive to the 2010 Colorado Work Truck makes for a tough, go-anywhere pickup for those who don't need frills. Its 2.9-liter inline four may not offer much in the way of polish, but it gets the job done with 185 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven via an electronically engaged transfer case, and both manual and automatic transmissions are available.
With a regular cab and a 6-foot cargo bed, the Work Truck provides more hauling utility than cabin comfort. While its 1,465-pound payload is decent for a little truck, the small engine becomes strained when burdened with a full load. A three-across bench provides little in the way of elbow room, but the interior features air-conditioning and cruise control standard, making it more than tolerable for getting to the work site.
This overview covers the Work Truck 4WD trim only.
