Overview of 2010 Chevrolet Colorado LT2 Ext. Cab 4WD By Jesse Berger
The 2010 Chevrolet Colorado LT2 Extended Cab 4WD offers the go-anywhere capability of electronic four-wheel-drive with low range, along with the added power of a 3.7-liter inline five-cylinder (I5) engine. The up-market LT2 trim stands out with a chrome grille and 17-inch chrome wheels.
With 242 hp on tap, the I5 is powerful, but lacks refinement. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard, along with a limited-slip rear differential. The available Z71 suspension package enhances the Colorado's rock-hopping capability, but degrades its on-road ride quality.
Inside the LT2 Ext. Cab features bucket seating up front and a pair of rear jump seats. Power accessories and standard keyless entry are standard. Safety features are impressive (standard side-curtain airbags got added for 2010), but the Colorado performed only adequately in government side-impact crash testing.
This overview covers the LT2 Ext. Cab 4WD trim only.
