Pros

6600lb truck all wheel drive averages 20 mpg!!! 6.7 sec 0-60 !!!
Feels like half the weight, lots of fun to drive, brakes are Awesome !!!
Interior materials are super fine quality. Leather extra nice.

Cons

Not ver reliable. In the first two year of owning brand new 2010 car, check engine light came on, back up camera had to be replaced due to malfunction , something was making noise in front suspension that had to be fixed. Good thing all under warranty .

Very Good Truck. — Very sharp car, if you like sporty style riding this is the right car for you. Don't expect it to be soft and smooth. The car handles just perfectly ,considering the 6600lb weight it has, you can't feel the weight, you drive just like a toy. Brakes are exceptional for that much weight. You have to really drive it to believe it. Very good on gas, or diesel for that matter, I averaged 18-20mpg mostly city. Only thing I really didn't like was the turbo lack , especially when I needed to change the lanes quick, just don't bother if there is a car coming, it won't jump. Overall I did not regret a single penny that I spent on the car.

Pros

Diesel is great if you don't mind all the people and attendants telling you, hey you know that Diesel??

Cons

Doors do not auto unlock when you stop and shut off the car if you have auto lock on - stupid - and then you have to get your key and click it - or lean to the CENTER of the damn car to hit the button - dumb

Overall Its Great Fuel Economy And Power Mix For A Full Size Sav — Wish we had the sport package but its still a good looking SAV, good size, good cargo, great fuel mileage with the Diesel. The turbo kicks in and this truck gets up and goes just like a normal car. If you want to go 500 miles on a fill up in an SAV, then either get a bigger gas tank or get a Diesel.

Very Aggressive And Sharp Vehicle! — You cannot go wrong with the X5. I own one and will continue to support the X series. Not only does the vehicle drive great but the interior is very spacious and comfortable. Ideal for family. I really enjoy and highly recommend this vehicle!

Pros

Great "ultimate driving" experience. Perfect for the mountain driving and winter conditions in Colorado. The combination of fuel economy, power and driveability are impressive.

Cons

Back seat legroom and initial cost are the main obstacles to perfection.

Sav Comparison — I have had or currently own similar Audi and Mercedes SAV's with turbo diesel motors and while they have been and are good cars, I am most impressed with the X5. The X5 is a step up in creature features but it really excels when performance, handling and the overall driving experience are the criteria. The aluminum block inline six is a bit noisier than its V block cousins but I believe it delivers at least equal performance and economy. X Drive and car handling on snow and ice are excellent as are the comparable SAV's but driving performance on all normal condition highway and other roads is superior in the X5.

It's Wonderful — Its acceleration is really fast... breaks are quite sharp... nd the handeling is awsome.... The Car Is 98% clean.... Black leather interior, gray exterior... The Car Burns Gas Though, But the performance is worth it at the end of the day.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
