Tiguan In No Countryman — Our Tiguan was meant to be a family vehicle, purchased while my wife was pregnant with our son. As it was only the second vehicle to be purchased/leased in Central Florida, we knew more about it than the dealership. Scary. When the Mini Countryman came out, we drove the S version and were sold. We traded the Tiguan and have never regretted it. The fuel economy is way better, the looks are awesome, and rowing gears with a proper manual makes all the difference in the world. I forgot to mention that we can spin the tires readily now. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsGreat car with a lot of roominess but compact enough to fit in any space ConsLower quality plastics used in chrome plating and bumper units resulting in abrasion and scratching

Vw Tiguan — Small enough to get into small spaces in Paris, but big enough to fit the dog, friends, and suitcases. Has great pickup and is a blast to drive. Chrome plating on interior/extrior trim is not great quality and definitely already too many recalls and problems with electronics in the handbreak.

ProsGreat Style ConsIts an SUV (lol)

Great Suv — Performance wise, it alright, I love lots of horse power. Its new, so there hasent really been any repairs. I love the exterior style, beutiful shape, blue is a great colour for it. Not a fan of SUV's for their gas mileage, but its still good. Lot of fun to drive, even though I always ride shotgun :P

So-so Car For A Family That Travels — Fun to drive. But not near enough cargo space for a family of three with a big dog. I often find that I can't even fit all my groceries in the trunk. Gas mileage is so-so. Requires premium gas. Nice that VW recommends changing oil only every 10k miles. But requires full-synthetic oil which is expensive. VW customer service is very good. ProsPerformance, handling, practicality, comfort, fit and finish, ride quality, upgradability, good fuel economy ConsA little small for cargo, 3 adults across the back seat is a stretch

The Tig Does Not Disappoint — My Tiguan has the 4Motion AWD system, which provides excellent traction in all weather conditions. Stock, it drives quite well, with good acceleration and excellent braking and cornering. It's a very solid-feeling German car, typical of my experiences with VW in the recent past. I have added to it the APR Stage I reprogramming, which made the car CONSIDERABLY more fun to drive, reportedly adding close to 50 bhp and gobs of torque; it's a rocket SUV. In just under 12 months of ownership I've got almost 33,000 miles behind the wheel, and I still love this car. Tows my popup like a champ, drives like a sporty sedan, dusts a lot of ricer cars, and looks cool on the road. A winner! Primary Use: Commuting to work

Way To Go Tiguan — Great car with lots of very useful features. The RNS510 is really impressive with touch screen, integrated hard disk drive etc. Compared to other makes in the same category, the VW is quite cheap and still offers a lot of quality. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Tiguan Star, On The Cars Heaven! — Super, Top Quality, 4-wheeldrive, dieselengine with enough power. High torque. Lots of space to load. Low fuelconsumtion. 0,54 on the highway, 0,67 mixed and 0,9 with a 1.800 kg heavy caravan on the hook. Tiguan is the very best car in it´s class! Primary Use: Commuting to work

Love My Vw — I love this car. I test drove all the competitors first... crv, rogue, rav4 and the ford edge, which ran a very close second. The fun factor and the very peppy turbo bust PLUS THE ALSOME SUNROOF were the deciding factors for me. Fuel economy is better than I expected. I love my TIGUAN. Primary Use: Family transportation |
