Awesome Car All Together — All in all this is a great car. Very comfortable ride. Great premium sound. The turbo helps a lot with acceleration and gas millage. Love the mpg. All the bells and whistles you could ask for for this size and price.

Pros

suv size perfect for small family; excellent fit and finish, gas mileage good for suv. lots of power with turbo engine when needed, great handling

Cons

have had four significant problems: 2 covered under warranty [cooling system failure and intake manifold replacement]; 2 not covered [acceleration control ($400) and Xenon headlight replacement ($200!)] -- seems to be too many expensive problems for a car with 55000 miles

Purchased New For $36000, Very Satisfied, Except For Maintenance Problems — Love the car, except have lost some confidence due to unusual maintenance problems. Reliability and everyday operating seems good, but we are worried about the long term economics of our purchase. We keep cars for long periods. So far Nissan and Toyota vehicles have been the best buys. We would recommend the Tiguan with reservations regarding maintenance.

So-so Car For A Family That Travels — Fun to drive. But not near enough cargo space for a family of three with a big dog. I often find that I can't even fit all my groceries in the trunk. Gas mileage is so-so. Requires premium gas. Nice that VW recommends changing oil only every 10k miles. But requires full-synthetic oil which is expensive. VW customer service is very good.

Tiguan — first at all motor....gooood...then DSG gear.....quality is good....truth not perfect.....do not like 235/50 18 tyres....but performance of them is excellent.....body shape is nice for day to day ride....not too big not too small...

The Tig Does Not Disappoint — My Tiguan has the 4Motion AWD system, which provides excellent traction in all weather conditions. Stock, it drives quite well, with good acceleration and excellent braking and cornering. It's a very solid-feeling German car, typical of my experiences with VW in the recent past. I have added to it the APR Stage I reprogramming, which made the car CONSIDERABLY more fun to drive, reportedly adding close to 50 bhp and gobs of torque; it's a rocket SUV. In just under 12 months of ownership I've got almost 33,000 miles behind the wheel, and I still love this car. Tows my popup like a champ, drives like a sporty sedan, dusts a lot of ricer cars, and looks cool on the road. A winner!

The Tiguan Is A Crossover That I Would Recomend Checking Out!!!!!! — Overall the Tiguan is a reliable, functional, and a practical suv. It has the acceleration and handeling of a sports car with the apperance and fun factor of an suv. The Tiguan is a crossover that I would recomend checking out!!!!!!

Way To Go Tiguan — Great car with lots of very useful features. The RNS510 is really impressive with touch screen, integrated hard disk drive etc. Compared to other makes in the same category, the VW is quite cheap and still offers a lot of quality.

Tiguan Star, On The Cars Heaven! — Super, Top Quality, 4-wheeldrive, dieselengine with enough power. High torque. Lots of space to load. Low fuelconsumtion. 0,54 on the highway, 0,67 mixed and 0,9 with a 1.800 kg heavy caravan on the hook. Tiguan is the very best car in it´s class!

Love My Vw — I love this car. I test drove all the competitors first... crv, rogue, rav4 and the ford edge, which ran a very close second. The fun factor and the very peppy turbo bust PLUS THE ALSOME SUNROOF were the deciding factors for me. Fuel economy is better than I expected. I love my TIGUAN.
