Pros- Versatile and dependable family car, and fun to haul the boat out to the lake. Cons- single wide open rear door.

2009 Grand Vitara — Versatile and dependable family car. Very capable highway vehicle, can haul trailers easily. Internal cargo capacity allows it to haul small appliances and furniture easily. It's a pleasure to drive and the 4WD is especially good in winter. thank you Primary Use: Family transportation

Attractive To Look At. Decent Power, Great In Snow/ice — Suzuki should never have gone in to the car business. The engine in this car failed, due to "lack of lubrication" at 28,500 miles and the factory warranty did not cover it, for that reason. A crankshaft journal. I think that is the proper word, where the piston rod connects to the crankshaft burned up, no oil getting there. They said when I had it towed in to the dealer it had only 1 1/2 quarts of oil in the engine, and that is baloney know hoe to maintain a car a little, no expert mechanic but I do know how to check and add oil, all the basics. It sat there at the Dealer in Arlington Texas for 5 months during actual court litigation. I lost. $2,100 later and 5 months of making payments on a car I did not have to drive I consider myself a victim of a Japanese car company ====Never buy a Suzuki. new or used. I intend to get rid of it and chalk it up as an expensive lesson. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Improve Interior — build quality is poor, the materials in the interior are cheap. Its engine is good, good acceleterion, all wheel drive, full time, the best handling I've ever drive. four wheel drive with reduction, 4L, you can go where a Toyota RAV or a Honda CR-V never go. Will Not Dissapoint You — Good reliable car with enough power to surprise some other cars on the road. Very good value for money. Fair low costs of ownership. Enough space to transport bigger loads. Good on road handling and offroad - hill descent control and short gears included. Great to take some fast corners...just take a ride! Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Gv — Performance on land average but off road excellent acceleration fair braking not very good even thow it has ABS EPD handling not good at all allways understering Build Quality very very good Appearance i think its very good looking and cool Cost of Ownership you dont get much for your money in fuel range in the last its a litlle bit bouncy but its very fun car to drive and even butter offraod Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||
