Overview of 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium By Michael Perkins
The 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium injects a few upgrades into the base Impreza trim, with the most notable changes from the outside being foglights and 16-inch alloy wheels. Still powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine pushing power to all four wheels with the benefit of traction control, the 2.5i Premium gets a five-speed manual transmission with hill-holder clutch. The tilt steering wheel is now wrapped in leather and integrates radio controls for the AM/FM/6-CD/MP3 changer with digital media connection. A power sunroof joins power mirrors, windows, door locks, and remote keyless entry, and sits above the front bucket seats. As with the split-folding rear, all are clad in cloth, and the driver’s seat enjoys height adjustability. A center console, tachometer, trip computer, outside-temperature indicator, and floormats are all included. Variable-intermittent front wipers and a rear defogger take care of clean-up duty, and air conditioning and cruise control keep you comfortable.
Safety features for the 2.5i Premium trim include dual front, front side, and curtain-side airbags, front-seat active head restraints, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist and anti-skid, daytime running lights, a tire pressure monitor, and a theft-deterrent system.
This overview covers the 2.5i Premium trim only.
