Overview of 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium Hatchback By Michael Perkins
For a bit of an upgrade, the five-door, all-wheel-drive 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium Hatchback offers extra features over the base trims, as well as hatchback convenience. Its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine uses the five-speed manual with a hill-holder clutch, teamed with traction control for all four 16-inch alloys to deliver power. Foglights and a rear spoiler show off a bit, and the tilt steering wheel is leather-wrapped, incorporating radio controls for the AM/FM/6-CD/MP3 changer with digital-media connection. Power features include a power sunroof, mirrors, windows, and door locks, as well as remote keyless entry. Front bucket seats come with cloth upholstery, as does the split-folding rear, and the driver’s seat offers height adjustability. Additional convenience features include a center console and cargo cover, tachometer, trip computer, an outside-temperature indicator, floormats, air conditioning, and cruise control. The variable-intermittent front wipers are joined by an intermittent rear wiper and washer, as well as a rear defogger.
Safety features for the 2.5i Premium Hatchback include dual front, front side, and curtain-side airbags, front-seat active head restraints, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist and anti-skid, daytime running lights, a tire pressure monitor, and a theft-deterrent system.
This overview covers the 2.5i Premium Hatchback trim only.
