Overview of 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5GT Hatchback By Michael Perkins
The entry-level turbo hatchback for the Impreza is the 2.5GT Hatchback, with its 2.5-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine, four-speed shiftable automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and traction control. A sport suspension, foglights, 17-inch alloys, and a rear spoiler easily distinguish the 2.5GT Hatchback from the outside, and inside the features are abundant. A tilt and telescoping steering wheel is leather-wrapped and has radio controls for the AM/FM/6-CD/MP3 changer with digital-media connection, and the front bucket seats are heated. The front driver’s seat has height adjustability and, like the split-folding rear, is covered in cloth upholstery. Heated power mirrors, a power sunroof, power windows and door locks, and remote keyless entry are all standard. Front variable-intermittent wipers include a de-icer and are paired with an intermittent rear wiper and washer with a defogger. A center console and cargo cover make sure your valuables can’t be seen, and automatic climate and cruise control keep you in the lap of luxury. A tachometer, trip computer, outside-temperature indicator, and floormats are standard features.
Safety features for the 2.5GT Hatchback include dual front, front side, and curtain-side airbags, front-seat active head restraints, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist and anti-skid, daytime running lights, a tire pressure monitor, and a theft-deterrent system.
This overview covers the 2.5GT Hatchback trim only.
