2009 Nissan Rogue SL Trim Overview

The 2009 Nissan Rogue SL receives a number of new standard features for 2009, including a fold-down front passenger seat, a dual-level center console storage tray, automatic speed-sensitive door locks, interior accent lights, and a trip computer, which displays the average speed on a trip, the elapsed time, the miles per gallon, and distance to empty, among other features. Other standard features for the '09 Rogue SL include a six-way manual-adjustable driver's seat, cruise control, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, and a four-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player and MP3 input jack. A full range of airbags, including roof-mounted side-curtain airbags, also come standard. An optional Premium Package, available for the Rogue SL, now includes such features as Bluetooth and Intelligent Key remote start, as well as a retractable cargo cover, foglights, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system with a 6-CD changer, XM satellite radio, and steering-wheel-mounted controls. A Leather Package adds leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, and a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support, among other features.

A 2.5-liter, double-overhead-cam inline four-cylinder engine, producing 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, powers the front-wheel-drive Nissan Rogue SL. The engine mates to an intelligent, virtually gearless Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) and posts fuel economy numbers of 22/27 mpg. Standard performance- and safety-related features for the Rogue SL include traction control, Vehicle Dynamic Control (Nissan's version of electronic stability control), and four-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution, which assist drivers in controlling the SUV in emergency situations or during slippery driving conditions. Standard exterior features include roof rails, power outside mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The '09 Nissan Rogue SL rides on 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires.
