Overview of 2009 Nissan Rogue SL AWD By R. Feeman
Nissan adds a number of new standard features to its Rogue SL AWD trim for 2009, including automatic speed-sensitive door locks, a dual-level center console storage tray, automatic speed-sensitive door locks, a fold-down front passenger seat, and a trip computer, which displays the elapsed trip time, the average speed of the trip, the miles per gallon, and the distance to empty, as well as the outside temperature. A four-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player and MP3 input jack also comes standard. The new features join the Rogue SL's existing standard features, including a six-way manual-adjustable driver's seat, four-way adjustable passenger seat, cruise control, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, and power windows. Owners can also opt for an available Premium Package, which adds Bluetooth and Intelligent Key remote start, both new for 2009, plus a retractable cargo cover, foglights, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system with a 6-CD changer, XM satellite radio, and steering-wheel-mounted controls. A Leather Package adds leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, and a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support.
The 2009 Nissan Rogue SL AWD comes equipped with Nissan's intuitive all-wheel-drive system, which senses the difference between various types of road surfaces and conditions, and responds automatically by sending the optimal amount of torque to the front or rear wheels to maximize traction and stability. Traction control and Nissan's electronic stability control system, called Vehicle Dynamic Control, also come standard. The Rouge SL's 2.5-liter, double-overhead-cam inline four-cylinder engine produces 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, and mates to an intelligent Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). Exterior features include roof rails, power outside mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The '09 Nissan Rogue SL rides on 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires.
This overview covers the SL AWD trim only.
