2009 Nissan Rogue S Trim Overview

The Nissan Rogue S trim, which holds the entry-level spot in the Rogue lineup, remains unchanged for 2009. It comes equipped with such standard features as remote keyless entry, cruise control, air conditioning with a microfilter, power windows and door locks, and four-way manual-adjustable front seats. A four-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player and MP3 input jack also comes standard. The rear seats split 60/40 and fold down to add flexibility for cargo storage. An oversize, partitioned glovebox, a segmented center console with cup holders, and an under-floor storage area in the rear cargo bay provide additional places to store gear. Outside, the Rogue S includes such features as power mirrors and UV-reducing solar glass. The '09 Rogue S rides on 16-inch steel wheels with all-season tires.

A 2.5-liter, double-overhead-cam inline four-cylinder (I4) engine powers the front-wheel-drive Nissan Rogue S. The engine generates 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque and connects to an intelligent, virtually gearless Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). The powerplant posts fuel economy numbers of 22/27 mpg. Four-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution aid drivers in controlling the vehicle in slippery road conditions or during emergency situations. Safety features include traction control and Nissan's version of an electronic stability control system, called Vehicle Dynamic Control. A full range of airbags, including roof-mounted side-curtain airbags, also come standard.
