Overview of 2009 Nissan Murano SL By Eric Tallberg
While adding a few extra standard features, the mid-level 2009 Nissan Murano SL trim shows its true colors with the plethora of optional equipment it offers. Additional standard offerings for the front-wheel-drive ’09 Murano SL include an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. Available options include a Technology Package, with Bluetooth hands-free communications technology, power liftgate, and Xenon headlights as well as a Tow Package with a Class II hitch, leather upholstery, power passenger’s seat, rear-seat DVD entertainment, a dual-panel moonroof, and Bose premium audio with nine speakers.
The powerplant for the ’09 Nissan Murano SL crossover remains the standard 3.5-liter DOHC V6, managed by the ubiquitous continuously variable transmission (CVT). This team puts out 265 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, and is capable of hauling 3,500 pounds of trailer if the available Tow Package is selected, while still offering 64 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The ’09 Murano SL is rated at 18/23 mpg.
This overview covers the SL trim only.
