The CVT transmission is so smooth. I don't know how I ever did without it. It handles beautifully. I think no car is worth over $20 grand but I was happy to pay it with this one. I love it so much!... Read More

Overview of 2009 Nissan Murano S By Eric Tallberg
Although considered the base trim, the 2009 Nissan Murano S is far from basic. A five-door, five-passenger crossover, the ’09 Murano S is delivered in rear-wheel drive and carries an impressive list of standard safety, appearance, comfort, and convenience features. A partial list of standard safety features includes four-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, side-impact airbags, and front and rear head airbags. Appearance and creature comforts standard with the ’09 Murano S include 64 cubic feet of cargo space (with the rear seats folded), 18-inch alloy wheels, front cloth bucket seats, split-folding rear seats, power accessories, telescoping tilt-wheel steering, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, simulated alloy interior trim, and a 6-CD changer with six speakers. Options for the ’09 Murano S include roof rails and a vehicle security system.
The only engine and transmission offering available for the ’09 Nissan Murano S - indeed, for the entire Murano lineup - is a 3.6-liter V6 and continuously variable transmission (CVT) that together put out 265 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The EPA estimates 18/23 mpg for the ’09 Murano S. Though rated to tow 3,500 pounds, the ’09 Murano S has no available towing equipment package.
This overview covers the S trim only.
