Taking one step up from the bare-essentials LX base is the 2009 Kia Spectra EX. The EX trim adds air-conditioning, cruise control, floormats, dual rear cupholders, and power windows and locks to the interior. The exterior adds body-color heated power mirrors and remote entry. The drivetrain is the same as the LX's, but the EX has upgraded rear brakes (10.2-inch solid discs) and an option for a four-channel, four-sensor antilock braking system.
