2009 Kia Rondo LX Trim Overview

The 2009 Kia Rondo LX compact minivan comes equipped almost identically to the Rondo Base trim. However, the LX offers a few additional standard features, as well as a number of optional features not available on the Base. Cruise control and remote keyless entry both come standard on the Rondo LX but not on the Base trim. In addition, owners can add heated front seats and a fold-flat third-row seat, which are available as options on the LX. With the optional third-row seat, the LX can seat up to seven passengers. However, these options aren't available on the Rondo Base trim. Other standard features for the '09 Rondo LX include cloth seats, air conditioning, and power door locks and windows. In addition, the Rondo LX's six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system adds Sirius satellite radio, an auxiliary input jack, and a USB port as new standard features for '09. Six airbags, including full-length side-curtain airbags, also come standard.

The Rondo LX's 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine receives a slight boost in power for 2009. It now produces 175 hp, an increase of 13 hp over the previous year's powerplant. The four-cylinder engine generates 164 lb-ft of torque and links to a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It posts fuel economy numbers of 20/27 mpg. Four-wheel antilock brakes and Kia's Electronic Stability Control system are both included on the standard equipment list. Outside, standard features for the Rondo LX include a black front grille and roof rails. The front-wheel-drive Rondo LX rides on 16-inch wheels.
