2009 Kia Rondo EX Trim Overview

The 2009 Kia Rondo EX receives a few new standard features for 2009, as well as a boost in power. It seats up to seven passengers in three rows, including a 50/50-split, fold-flat rear seat. For 2009, Kia adds Sirius satellite radio, an auxiliary input jack, and a USB port to the Rondo EX's six-speaker AM/FM audio system, which also includes a CD player. The Rondo EX offers passengers a touch of luxury, thanks to its leather upholstery, heated front seats, and leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and shift knob. Other standard features for the '09 Kia Rondo EX include air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry, and power door locks and windows. Options include a power tilt-and-slide sunroof and an eight-speaker Infinity AM/FM audio system with a 6-CD changer and a subwoofer.

The Rondo EX's 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine generates 175 hp for 2009, a boost of 13 hp over the previous year's powerplant. The engine generates 164 lb-ft of torque and links to a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The EPA estimates fuel economy numbers for the four-cylinder at 20/27 mpg. Four-wheel antilock brakes and Kia's Electronic Stability Control system come standard. Outside, the Rondo EX includes such features as a chrome front grille, front foglights, power heated exterior mirrors, and roof rails. The front-wheel-drive Rondo EX rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
