A Jeep That's Actually Worth Buying — Having driven the Compass, Patriot and Liberty I honestly didn't see the appeal in any of these Jeeps since they're horrid vehicles. The Compass and Patriot particularly since they're based off a bad car, the Caliber. Well I finally driven the Wrangler which is successor of the iconic Jeep from the AMC days. This is a much better Jeep and the other 3 and with the 4-door version...why do you need those 3 again? If this Jeep has a downside its really down to the interior. You have a pretty standard Chrysler interior which means its full of cheap disgusting looking plastic, hard surfaces and is somewhat depressing. The good news is the roof of the Wrangler can come off. Removing the interior might actually improve the look of the Wrangler. The driving part is really the good part of the Wrangler. The steering is not vague like the Compass, Liberty or Patriot so it actually has some feel. I also get the sense it can corner a lot better than those terrible 3. Due to the off-roading nature of this Jeep the ride comfort on the road is not very good. Still, among the vehicles you can buy from Jeep...you better choose this one over the rubbish Compass, Patriot and Liberty.

2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X 4x4 — Performance- its a Jeep, what else is there. Hummers are way too expensive and suck on gas. Jeeps are a little easier to swallow on the cost point, and there is a TON of aftermarket support. Build quality- spot on -so far Appearance- now lifted, bumpered, etc. phenominal, but I liked it from the get go. Cost of ownership- Midrange, but I did not purchase a Jeep for fuel economy, I bought a Jeep because its a Jeep. Fun Factor- absolutly, I love the looks, and oddly enough, the commradery (spelling?) that comes with owning a Wrangler. It truly is "a Jeep thing".

The Best Open Air Experience In An Suv — THe Best Open Air experience you can get.. Remove the front panels for an over sized sunroof or take the full top off.. Complete the experience by removing the doors. This Vehicle goes anywhere be it on or off road. Perfect for hauling your favor sporting gear be it surfboards, kayaks, or golf clubs.

Favorite Car — I've owned my wrangler for almost a year now and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I absolutely love it. It's so much fun to drive and awesome in the snow and sun. You couldn't ask for a better combination- suv and convertible.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

If You Like To Hit The Trails, Camp, Or Ski, There Is No Equal! — Dependable, very fun to drive. Cost of maintenance is more than an average car, but far from exorbadant. I can climb a telephone pole and cut through snow like butter. Practical with 4 doors, with room for the kids, & our camping stuff. I love this car!
