Pros

Excellent, very powerful and reliable vehicle.

Cons

The 3.3 liter V6 average only 22 miles per gallon in the city and around 30 miles per gallon in the highway. Dealers are taking advantage of the quality and reliability of the car and are jacking up the price to higher levels. If you find a car at a lower price from a private seller buy it.

One Of The Best Car In Us Market — The car is one of the best 4 doors sedans in US. This car compares with other models, like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Maxima, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Chevy, Ford and even more expensive luxury cars averaging around $5,000 or even $10,000 more than the 2009 Sonata Limited V6. This car is very reliable, very well built and has all or even more features and options than competitive models however, cost much less to maintain. The Sonata Limited is very quiet, powerful, fun to drive and affordable. Even without warranty the cost of repair and maintenance is about 70% lower than any dealer in US: Ej; Replace all four disk brakes and rotors at the dealer cost almost $900.00 dollars. Do it yourself - Rotors from $28.00 to $50.00 ea, Brake pads $22.00 to $37.00 per set (you need a set for the front and a set for the rear). If you do it yourself which is very easy then there is no cost for labor. If you take it to a local shop about $100.00 on labor for each set which is still expensive because I did it myself (Following instructions from YouTube) including rotors, pads, calipers lubrication etc for all four wheels in less than 2 hours. The same is true for anything, radiator replacement, oil and filter change is a breeze on these cars and you can buy 5 quarts of high quality recommended oil and the filter at any local auto part store on sale for around $20.00 or less. Try that with other models and you will find that many of the maintenance have to be performed by the dealer because is too complicated and the parts are mostly branded or sold and installed by the dealer only. Please remember: Printers are cheap, with the cartridges is that you really pay the price. One of the best 4 doors sedan in the US Market hands-down.

Perfect — everyting - for a commuter driving 80+km one way to work it is perfect. Quiet, great power, amazing fuel economy, and an awesome stereo - everything I need. Love the iPod hook-up and XM radio, in fact it plays music right from a usb stick. The information even appears on the screen and it can be controlled by the steering wheel controls.

Pretty Good For The Price. — Power is great, paint and finish is superb ( keep in garage), steering is so-so, voice activated nav and radio is good, wish we had a passenger power seat, gets about 31 mpg if steady run at 65 mph on hwy. only extra we don't have is BluConnect. Dealer wanted $400!, I find it fun to drive. P.s. Still have original f&r brakes at 52000 miles!!! Just changed tires at 49000 mi.

You Cannot Buy A Better Car For Your Money. I Am Sold On The Sonata 100%. — I love the way the Sonata looks. It's got very sporty lines that make it look sleeker while it has an incredibly roomy interior. The trunk space is huge and the seats fold down. The instrument panel is very intuitive and driver-focused. The car feels solid when you drive it and the ESC works amazingly on ice. Solid build quality and the performance is great. The only downside is the shifting is a little jumpy when accelerating. Handling is very precise and responsive.

Very Positive Impression Of The Sonata! — We rented a Sonata for vacation and drove it almost 3,000 miles. This was our first experience with a Hyundai and we were very pleased. It was solid, quiet and the gas mileage we got on the V6 was a great surprise. The trunk was huge and we had plenty of room for those vacation purchases. Handling was a bit jittery on rough roads but never a problem. Performance was overall good but throttle tip-in was a bit abrupt. Build quality was excellent with tight seams and no squeaks or rattles. The audio system was one of the better ones we've heard in a car in this price range and we also enjoyed the XM radio (thanks, Budget!). This car goes to the top of the list when we get ready to buy!

2009 Hyundai Sonata Gls — I got my 2009 Hyundai Sonata GLS as a birthday gift around June. It has pretty good take-off and she can go.The brakes are really good..just tap n you stop. I haven't had any problems with anything yet and I'm hoping I don't for a while. The paint job is amazing and interior is out of this world. Major upgrade for Hyundai. I get great gas mileage...22/23 in City and 32/33 on Highway. Overall, I think the Sonata is a good car and I would recommend it.

Great Car — Everything about this kind of car is great but unfortunately I am leaving the country and I have to sell the car. Maintenance did not cost me a lot because I did not have any problems with this cars. During the last 3 years, this car needed nothing except oil change, new tires and brakes and periodic maintenance service.

Eric In Minnesota — Other than tire and battery replacement there have been no problems in 70,000 miles. This is my third Hyundai. All have been great cars! My wife drives an 08 Sonata Limited and will never go back to driving a Nissan.

A Reliable Machine. — It is an Excelent car for traviling long distance. It is one of the few FWD cars I have ever driven. It is highly reliable and confertable enought for road trips This particular car Has been driven from coast to coast... LITTERALLY. It isnt fun and I am more of a sports car/muscle car guy, but I can respect the practicallity and endurance of this car.
