2009 Honda CR-V EX AWD Trim Overview

The 2009 Honda CR-V EX 4WD falls right in the middle of the six trims in terms of price and features. The only addition to the CR-V EX is, obviously, the four-wheel-drive system. Honda labels this system as Real Time, because it does not require any driver intervention. The system senses when there is a loss of traction in the front wheels and then sends the appropriate amount of torque to the rear wheels automatically and almost instantaneously - in real time. The four-wheel-drive system does get one mile less per gallon highway (26) and combined (22) than the EX trim, but it gets the same city mileage (20 for both).
