Overview of 2009 GMC Yukon SLE2 4WD By Tim O'Sullivan
The 2009 GMC Yukon SLE2 4WD shares interior and exterior features with the rear-wheel-drive SLE2, but adds four-wheel drive for improved handling in difficult conditions. Like all the Yukon 4WD trims, the SLE2 comes with a 5.3-liter, 320-horsepower V8 SFI FlexFuel engine that can run on unleaded gasoline or 85 percent ethanol. This V8 is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and gets 14 city/20 highway mpg, the same mileage as the rear-wheel-drive trims. The SLE2 4WD is 200 pounds heavier than its rear-wheel-drive counterpart, weighing in at 7,300 pounds. Its maximum payload is 53 pounds less than the RWD version, coming in at 1,773 pounds. But its maximum towing capacity is 8,200 pounds, a significant jump from the RWD trim's 7,400.
This overview covers the SLE2 4WD trim only.
