Overview of 2009 GMC Yukon SLE1 4WD By Tim O'Sullivan
The 2009 GMC Yukon SLE1 4WD shares interior and exterior features with the rear-wheel-drive SLE1, but makes a major drivetrain change. Like all the Yukon 4WD trims, the SLE1 4WD is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 SFI FlexFuel engine, which is capable of running on unleaded or up to 85 percent ethanol gas, produces 320 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive to get 14 city/20 highway mpg. The 4WD system adds 200 pounds to the vehicle's gross vehicle weight (7,300 pounds), subtracts just 57 pounds from its maximum payload capacity (down to 1,773 pounds), and pushes its maximum towing capacity from the 7,400 pounds of the rear-wheel-drive SLE1 to 8,200 pounds.
This overview covers the SLE1 4WD trim only.
