Overview of 2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid By Tim O'Sullivan

The 2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid blends interior and exterior features from the other four Yukon trims around its 6-liter, hybrid V8 (332 hp, 367 lb-ft of torque) that is mated to an electronically controlled, hybrid-specific, four-speed automatic transmission that gets 21 city/22 highway mpg. The Hybrid comes with a heavy-duty locking rear differential, aluminized stainless steel muffler and tailpipe, heavy duty trailering equipment, StabiliTrak traction control, and GMC’s Premium Smooth Ride Package. Its maximum payload is 1,830 pounds, and maximum towing capacity is 6,200 pounds.

Other exterior features include high-end mirrors (power-adjustable, power-folding, integrated turn signals, driver’s auto-dimming, ground illumination, and curb tilt), halogen headlamps, rear wiper, rear liftglass, and the unique Hybrid front and rear fascia.

The Hybrid’s interior features a rear parking-assist system with LED camera display, tri-zone air conditioning, Bluetooth, cruise control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, five auxiliary 12-volt outlets, a 115-volt, three-prong outlet in the rear quarter trim, driver information center, power programmable locks, consoles with rear audio and HVAC controls, and power windows with driver’s express. The AM/FM/CD/MP3-compatible stereo with TheftLock, voice recognition, XM radio, and XM NavTraffic comes with a nine-speaker Bose surround sound system (with a subwoofer in the center console). The front bucket seats are 6-way power adjustable for the driver and passenger, the second row is a 60/40-split leather bench, and the third row is a 50/50-split, removable, three-passenger bench.

This overview covers the Hybrid trim only.
