The 2009 Ford Expedition Limited 4WD has all the features of the two-wheel-drive Limited trim but adds Ford’s Control Trac 4X4 system. This four-wheel-drive system allows the driver to shift between high or low four-wheel mode; automatic mode, in which the vehicle moves traction from front to rear wheels as needed; and two-wheel-drive mode for maximum fuel efficiency. The Limited 4WD comes standard with front tow hooks and has a maximum towing capacity of 9,000 pounds, 200 less than the 2WD Limited's.
