Best Value Car Available — the performance is very good for a diesel, its the 2.0 turbodiesel with 140hp, the braking is perfect, handeling could be better when cornering. the build quality is correct for its price. appearance , it looks though and sporty on the outside but its ugly plastic interior makes it look like a japanese car from the 80's. cost of ownership ; this realy is the best part ; very low gas cosumption and an excellent maintance facility. fun to drive ; yes... but you really need to remove those factory "khumo" tires... Primary Use: Family transportation

Love It!! — being a 2 litre its not the fastest car on the road but the faster you go the more you get pulled over right?, build quality is really good hqvnt had to repair anything yet and i've had it a lil while now, not everyone likes the look of this car but i love it inside and out, she's about average to run for a 2 litre. definately reccomend this if your a fan of big cars (size wise) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Better Than Expected! — Performance is great. Quality is better than is reported by car reviewers! Has not needed ANY repairs and really fun to drive. Fuel Mileage isn't the best, but it is not terrible. Don't understand why this car takes such a bad wrap from the reviewers... Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Don't Miss The Cadillac When Driving The Avenger — Bought this car on short notice after my Deville transaxle gave up. I thought I would miss the Caddy, I don't. The V-6 has plenty of power, touring suspension allows for spirited driving. Fun to drive. Only gripe is the soft plastic interior that mars easily. Don't understand the poor reviews, nothing in its class is any better (and some worse!). | ||

The New Avenger — Its got a sporty look and roomy inside. I like the cherry red. It came with sirrius radio which was great through NFL season and the elections with CNN. I wish it was a V-6 like I had on my Sonata, but gas crisis, huh? I still only have 6,800 miles on it after owning it a year. I was psoiled with leather interior in my last car, but this has the hew "YES" fabric that resists stains. It is kind of a sexy car--it has the Cahrger Body. Wish I had not scratched the side during the ice storm. | ||

A Cheaper Sebring...a Terrible Car Still But Slightly Better In One Way — If you read my Chrysler Sebring review you would know I believe its the worst car I've ever driven. The Avenger is basically exactly the same. The Avenger gets the same 2.7L V6 which is absolutely pathetic in terms of acceleration. The steering feel is exactly the same, lifeless. Lastly the handling is just plain rubbish. The interior of the Avenger is much cheaper so more of the disgusting plastic is present here with less of the more metal touches the Sebring has. The only good thing the Avenger has is better seats, I found the Sebring seats most unbearable. The Avenger seats seem to be Caliber seats, bearable but still not good. The Avenger has the same problems as the Sebring so its electronics will be giving you some trouble. Fuel economy is not that good. It looks mildly better than the Sebring, but has a generic Dodge look. The Avenger is still a terrible car. If you try any other car you'll find its an inferior product. |
