The 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT2 2500 seats up to eight passengers in its spacious, well-appointed cabin. Such standard features as leather front bucket seats, a second-row bench seat with leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, and power-adjustable pedals lend an upscale feel, while an ultrasonic rear parking assist and a remote vehicle starter system add functionality. For entertainment, the LT2 2500 comes equipped with an AM/FM audio system with a 6-CD changer, XM satellite radio, and an MP3 input jack. A hefty 6.0-liter V8 engine provides power for the '09 Suburban LT2 2500. The V8 pumps out 352 hp and 382 lb-ft of torque, which enables the SUV to tow up to 9,600 pounds. The engine connects to a new six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and features GM’s Active Fuel Management technology, which shuts down four cylinders when they're not required to conserve fuel. Four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, and the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system all come standard. Outside, standard features include front foglights, power heated exterior mirrors, a luggage rack, and body-color mirror caps and door handles. The LT2 2500 rides on a Premium Smooth Ride suspension and 17-inch aluminum wheels. For a sportier driving experience, owners can add an optional Z71 Off-Road Package, which includes specially tuned springs and shocks, an automatic locking rear differential, a unique grille and front fascia, a Z71-specific gauge cluster, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with on-/off-road tires.
