Overview of 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT2 2500 4WD By R. Feeman
The 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT2 2500 4WD comes with a long list of standard features, including Chevy's Autotrac on-demand four-wheel-drive system, which ensures maximum stability and traction in all types of driving conditions. The four-wheel-drive system works in conjunction with a 6.0-liter V8 engine, which generates 352 hp and 382 lb-ft of torque. The engine connects to a new six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, which replaces the previous year's four-speed automatic, and features GM’s Active Fuel Management technology, which deactivates up to four cylinders when they're not required to conserve fuel. The LT2 2500 4WD has a maximum towing capacity of 9,600 pounds. Four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, and the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system all come standard.
Outside, standard features for the '09 LT2 2500 4WD include front foglights, power heated exterior mirrors, a luggage rack, and body-color mirror caps and door handles. Inside, the roomy cabin has an upscale feel, thanks to such features as leather front bucket seats, a second-row bench seat with leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, and power-adjustable pedals. An ultrasonic rear parking assist, a remote vehicle starter system, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, Bluetooth, and remote keyless entry also come standard. The AM/FM audio system includes a 6-CD changer, XM satellite radio, and an MP3 input jack. Chevy also includes a one-year subscription to OnStar, which gives drivers access to such features as turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle diagnostics, emergency services, and remote door unlock. The LT2 2500 4WD seats up to eight passengers in three rows. Both the second and third rows fold down to expand cargo space to a maximum of 137 cubic feet. Optional features include heated front seats, a navigation system, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, and a power sunroof. Safety features include front head-curtain side-impact and rear head airbags. The LT2 2500 4WD rides on a Premium Smooth Ride suspension and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
This overview covers the LT2 2500 4WD trim only.
