Overview of 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT1 2500 4WD By R. Feeman
The 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT1 2500 4WD provides maximum traction and stability in all types of driving conditions, thanks to its Autotrac four-wheel-drive system with push-button operation. The four-wheel-drive system channels power from a hefty 6.0-liter V8 engine, which produces 352 hp and 382 lb-ft of torque. With all that horsepower and torque, the LT1 2500 4WD can tow up to 9,600 pounds. The V8 mates to a new six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, and features GM’s Active Fuel Management technology, which deactivates four cylinders when they're not required to improve fuel efficiency. Safety- and performance-related features include GM's StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, traction control, and four-wheel antilock brakes.
The spacious interior of the LT1 2500 4WD seats up to eight passengers and comes equipped with such standard features as front bucket seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control with vents for rear-seat passengers. A one-year subscription to OnStar gives drivers access to turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle diagnostics, emergency services, and remote door unlock, among other features. An AM/FM audio system includes a CD player, XM satellite radio, and an MP3 input jack. Other standard features for the LT1 2500 4WD include Bluetooth, cruise control, and remote keyless entry, while a navigation system and a premium sound system with a 6-CD changer are among the available options. By folding down the 60/40-split second- and third-row seats, owners can expand the LT1 2500 4WD's cargo space to a maximum of 137 cubic feet. Front head-curtain side-impact and rear head airbags are among the LT1 2500 4WD's many safety features. Outside, standard features include front foglights, power heated exterior mirrors, daytime running lights, a luggage rack, and body-color mirror caps and door handles. The three-quarter-ton LT1 2500 4WD rides on a Premium Smooth Ride suspension and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
This overview covers the LT1 2500 4WD trim only.
