Overview of 2009 Chevrolet HHR LT2 By Michael Perkins
A larger, E85-friendly 2.4-liter inline four powers the 2009 Chevrolet HHR LT2, with 172 hp, a four-speed automatic, and traction control. Chrome is king on this front-wheel-drive, 4-door compact wagon, with 17-inch chrome alloy wheels, grille, door handles, and roof rails. Foglights, running boards, and a sport suspension help the LT2 HHR stand out even more. A tilt, leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio controls sits in front of the 8-way power driver’s bucket seat. That seat, along with the fold-flat passenger and split-folding rear seat, is clad in cloth. Bluetooth and one year of OnStar are standard, as well as a Pioneer sound system and satellite radio. Power throughout means remote engine start and entry, as well as power windows, mirrors, locks, and an automatic day/night rearview with integrated compass. A center console, cargo cover and floormats are often-overlooked add-ons that come standard here. Air conditioning and cruise control are included, as well as variable-intermittent wipers and a rear defogger. Safety features include a tire pressure monitor, dual front and curtain-side airbags, antilock brakes with anti-skid, and daytime running lights.
This overview covers the LT2 trim only.
