2009 Aston Martin DB9 Trims

Avg. Price: $99,680

The 2009 Aston Martin DB9 Coupe features a hand-crafted interior outfitted in sumptuous leather and wood, and equipped with the latest technology. In the center console, aluminum rotary controls for the heating and air-conditioning system flank an analog clock. The controls also operate the Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone system and the satellite navigation system, which includes a hard drive. When not in use, the navigation screen folds away in its own discreet compartment. The docking station for the stainless-steel-and-glass Emotion Control Unit, which replaces a traditional car key, resides in the center of the dashboard. The driver inserts the ECU into the docking station and presses a glass button to start or stop the DB9's V12 engine. Once the engine stops, the ECU rises from the slot for easy removal.

Other standard features for the '09 DB9 include a full-grain leather interior, heated front seats, cruise control, organic electroluminescent instrument displays, rear parking sensors, personalized sill plaques, and a 700-watt premium audio system. Outside, standard equipment includes power-fold mirrors, a bright-finish grille, LED rear taillights, and diamond-turned alloy wheels. The exterior also has a coat of paint that requires 50 man-hours for application, polishing, and finishing. For an extra touch of elegance, drivers will find an umbrella stowed in the trunk.

Safety features include dual-stage front airbags and seat-mounted side airbags, as well as a Dynamic Stability Control system and antilock brakes. In addition, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Emergency Brake Assist help optimize the brakes in normal driving as well as in emergency situations.

Designed from the outset as a convertible, rather than as a derivative of the Coupe, the 2009 Aston Martin Volante features a folding fabric roof with a layer of Thinsulate insulation, which reduces noise in the cabin and helps keep occupants comfortable. The roof retracts at the push of a button and stows beneath a hard tonneau cover, which sits flush with the body to preserve the convertible's sleek lines when the roof is lowered.

Aston Martin has strengthened the Volante's body for 2009 to reduce flexing and ensure a more rigid and stable ride. Safety features include A-pillars that can support the weight of the car in the event of a rollover, as well as two strengthened hoops, which are deployed behind the rear-seat headrests in an emergency to protect the occupants.

Hand-stitched leather comes standard throughout the Volante's cabin, and owners can choose from walnut, mahogany, bamboo, tamo ash, or piano black interior wood veneer trim. Beyond that, owners can customize the Volante in almost limitless ways, thanks to a choice of 23 standard paint colors, 20 shades of leather, and nine carpet colors. Standard features include heated front seats, satellite navigation, a rear parking sensor, Bluetooth, and cruise control, as well as a 700-watt premium audio system with a 6-CD changer. As an option, owners can add a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system designed specifically for the DB9.
