2009 Acura TSX Base w/ Tech Pkg Trim Overview

The 2009 Acura TSX Base with Tech Package upgrades the Base trim by adding a 6-CD changer, complete with MP3 input, satellite radio, and a 10-speaker surround sound system. Audio controls are located on the steering wheel, along with the cruise control and paddle shifters. Also included in the Tech Package is a touchscreen and voice-activated navigation system that features a Zagat restaurant guide.

The front-wheel-drive sports sedan seats four, with 60/40 split-folding rear seats and a folding armrest/storage compartment. The trunk holds 12.6 cubic feet. Safety ratings have yet to be released, but Acura rarely skimps in this department. A stiffer overall body has been added this year. Already standard are traction and stability control, 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, front and rear stabilizer bars, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags for both rows. A tire monitor and mirrors with turn signals are also standard. Lighting the way are xenon HID headlamps, automatic headlights, and foglights. An auto-dimming rearview mirror helps with glare at night.

Powering all this is a 16-valve, 2.4-liter DOHC inline four and 5-speed shiftable automatic transmission. The powertrain delivers 201 hp and 170 ft-lbs of torque at 4,400 RPM. Living up to its luxury trappings, the 2009 TSX Base with Tech Package offers all power features - windows, locks, and heated mirrors - as well as remote entry, a garage remote, a sunroof, a trip computer, and 8-way and 4-way adjustable front seats, with driver's memory settings. Also on hand are leather upholstery, leather and alloy trim on the steering wheel and console, heated front seats, automatic climate control, and Bluetooth. Convenience features include a temperature readout, compass, tachometer, tilt and telescopic steering, and intermittent wipers. There are no available options.
