08 Tundra Tuff — The dealership forgot to tell me that the Tundra Tuff models don't come with keyless entry or cruise control, or intermittent wipers. Other than that, best truck I ever owned. Tows like a dream, decent gas milage on the interstate. Radio plays my Ipod, and all my buddies can pile in the back.

It's Natural For Sam Elliot To Pitch This Rugged Hauler — Being my second Tundra, I'd expect nothing less than superb build quality, combined with unsurpassed utility, exceptional comfort, and zen driveability. I'm not disappointed. This truck can serve as a workhorse towmobile/hauler or luxurious datemobile. On the road, it's like driving a Barcolounger on wheels. Extremely comfortable and smooth! Heavy Duty Sport Truck — Before spending years of savings on a new pickup, a truck we plan on driving for the next twenty years, the wife and I invested countless hours researching, test driving and kicking tires. (Even on Sundays while dealers were closed so we could crawl under the trucks without having a sales person hovering) The research process was much more difficult than we thought it would be since we are both Chevrolet fans BUT Dodge, Ford and Toyota build such competent trucks it became very hard to let our Chevy prejudice influence our decision. What happened was everytime we looked at the Tundra it became more and more obvious who was building the best/safest truck... Toyota. So July 2007 we purchased the Tundra DoubleCab, and over time it became clear we made the correct choice, plus we never experience one second of buyers remorse. Sadly the Tundra was totaled (tornado) just short of its 1st anniversary, so the search to replace the truck renewed. The decision to replace the Tundra with a Tundra was much easier, due to the flawless performance of the 07 DoubleCab and the fact that the Tundra was still far and away the best truck offering in the half-ton category. The 08 Tundra CrewMax 4x4 with the 5.7lt, that delivers 381hp and 401ft, 6speed trans, beefy4.30 gearing and a ridiculously tight turning ratio, the Tundra still brings goose bumps and an infectious smile to my face EVERY time I drive this heavy duty sport truck. I sometimes miss the DoubleCab configuration of the Tundra, since the bed was a foot longer, the truck weighed a bit less and was a bit faster but the rear seat of the Tundra CrewMax is cavernous, and since I usually haul people more often than ATVs or sheetrock, the CrewMax was a good choice. Whether you buy the RegularCab, DoubleCab or the CrewMax I (J.D Powers, Car & Driver etc etc) promise you will LOVE the Tundra. Primary Use: Family transportation

Awesome Fullsize Truck With The Toyota Name To Back It — Great full sized truck with lots of towing/hauling ability. For a 5.7L motor with gobs of power it gets decent gas mileage. I can get 16mpg in my daily commute and averaged 19.1mpg on a 700mile round trip, trip that had a good 90 minutes of driving off highway into the mountains. Got 21.7mpg on the way down (before the mountains) It hauls my Street/Dirt bikes great. I've only towed a small trailer with two dirt bikes on it with mine in the bed. Couldn't even tell it was back there. Ride is good for a 4x4 truck

Pros20 MPG with 5.7 and 4.30 gears ConsI can think of none. I may be biased as I sold my previous Toyota with 330k on the clock with nothing more than regular pm, one alternator, one O2 sensor and an ignition switch replaced.

No Regrets. — Toyota quality is unsurpassed. I believe the recent unintended acceleration recall was a low point for the manufacture, (Toyota should have acknowledged the issue sooner) but they resolved the problem with no related issues since. I would have no concerns about purchasing another Toyota product.

'08 Tundra — This truck has done every single thing that I've asked of it. It runs great. The gas mileage isn't the best, but then again, it's a four wheel drive truck. There have been no maintenance issue with this vehicle. It's Great!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Truck — Fantastic truck. Plenty of power and torque with smooth shifts. Interior is very wel laid out and the optional Red Rock leather looks great. Very reliable with low cost maintenance. The only change I would make would be to upgrade from the factory tires. Primary Use: Family transportation

Strong And Attractive — Overall very good truck and fun to drive. Carries big loads easy - 7,000 lb tractor, livestock, bed weight capacity is larger than most similar trucks. Some issues Break caliper pins are held in by a small wire - can break. Fan belt needed 2 changes in 60k miles. Primary Use: Family transportation

Great Powerfull Truck — The only thing I want to change is the gas mailege a friend liked this so well he went and bought a new one .This is the best truck I have owned. People look when you drive down the road. Because of the slight lift it sets it appart from others. The TRD air intake should help with better fuel milage. The exhaust system is a low rumble not a blarring loud noise. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Fun To Drive, Sexy Truck — This is the perfect car to take on family vacations, or if I want some power the v8 5.7 liter has plenty! Although I usually only average about 14mpg, i feel safe taking my family around in our Tundra because it's a beast on the road Primary Use: Family transportation |
