ProsThe car is great. Very reliable and safe. ConsNo seat memory.

Great Family Car! — The Highlander Hybrid is a great family car. It has been reliable in all weather conditions. The fuel economy is good. Once you learn how to use the hybrid system the fuel economy increases. The third row easily reclines to more cargo space. The DVD system is terrific and comes with wireless head phones. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosnice redesign; great ride; great acceleration ConsBase w/Popular plus pkg needs auto light pkg included; Steering "clunk" on right turns

Nice Remake By Toyota For Their Suv — Toyota did a nice job in redesigning the Highlander for '08. Acceleration is great and the ride and handling are excellent. I bought the I have the Hybrid Base model w/a Popular Plus pkg. Could use the auto light feature that comes w/the limited model though. The steering is an issue w/clunking on right turns, but it doesn't effect performance or handling.

Superb Suv — I have a review on my own photo album that I will complete. It's a must see. The seat comfort and build quality are unparalled. The fuel economy is excellent at nearly 28 mpg in both city and highway driving. This SUV sets a new standards by which most other car based SUVs are judged.

Happy In Paradise — I tow a 2 ton trailer. I am happy with the mileage (about 15). I adde a blue tooth so am able to have both hands free while driving. The monitor system is wonderful showing current gas mileage, tire pressure, etc. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

2008 Highlander Hybrid — This is our first hybrid and we love everything about this vehicle. Gets 28 mpg consistently. We love the color and the 19" rims that are standard on the Limited. The 3rd row seat really comes in handy for hauling my son and his buddies around. We've had zero problems with this SUV so far. Primary Use: Family transportation

Proscomfort, size, drive quality, sound and air Consnone

Highlander Hybrid Great For Family — The car drives well. It has good fuel economy (for a van.) It comfortably holds up to 7 people. The seats fold down (we just carried a large dining room table along with 6 chairs in the back.) The sound system and air system work very well. It is fun watching which way the energy is going on the dash.

ProsMPG; interior design Conslong hood

2008 Highlander Hybrid---the 4500 Pound "economy" Crossover — Lexus-like interior with great MPG...and the kids love it! There are eleven cupholders, 2 power points up front for both spouses cell phones, and a power rear hatch. Nice touches. With some practice, I've mangaged 30.9 mpg on the highway, and nearly the same in the city cycle. Wold like a slightly firmer suspension tune, but that's the compromise. And it runs on 87 octane fuel.

ProsNav, Entertainment center, smooth ride, mpg much better than regular SUV, style. ConsAux input - not specifically for iPod, running boards do not light up

I Love The New Highlander Model... — I purchased this SUV because I could not commit to a minivan, but was sick of my gas-guzzling SUV. I have had the Highlander for a week now and I am getting about 24 miles per gallon. I know it will get better as the car is broken in. I got it fully loaded and love the nav and my son loves the entertainment center. |
