2.5 GT Limited

2.5 GT Spec B

The GT spec. B Legacy adds several performance enhancements to the the well-equipped GT Limited trim. In addition to GT features like a Momo steering wheel, electroluminescent gauges, and SI-Drive, the spec. B includes upgraded Torsen limited-slip differential, a stability control system, sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein dampers, 18-inch alloy wheels, performance tires and alloy-trimmed pedals covers. The spec. B also gets a lower stance thanks to a ground effects kit. A navigation system is also standard.

This variant is also powered by the GT's turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-4, making 243 horsepower and 241 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission option is a six-speed manual. Drivers can expect to race from 0 to 60 mph in about five and a half seconds.

This entry level Legacy is powered by a 2.5 liter flat four engine, which delivers 175 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque. Buyers may choose between a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

Safety features like all-wheel drive ABS, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and whiplash-reducing front headrests are standard on all Legacy models. The 2.5i is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning, an MP3/WMA-capable CD sound system with a portable device input jack, keyless entry, a trip computer and full power accessories. A tilt and telescopic steering wheel has been added for 2008.

2.5 i Limited

This is the most equipped of the 2.5 liter Legacy models. Upgrades at this level include leather upholstery, heated exterior mirrors, a wiper de-icer, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control a premium audio system and an in-dash CD changer. Options now include a navigation system and stability control.

The 2.5 Limited houses the 2.5 liter flat-4 engine, which generates175 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque. The Limited is available with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission.

2.5 i Special Edition

This second tier Legacy trim adds a standard moon roof and a power seat for the driver. Other standard features include a new tilt and telescopic steering wheel, alloy wheels, full power accessories, an MP3-ready audio system, keyless entry and a trip computer.

The Special Edition model is powered by the 2.5 liter flat-4 engine, delivering 175 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque. This engine may be paired with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission.

3.0 R Limited

The 3.0R is a new Legacy trim for 2008. The R is similarly equipped to the GT spec. The GT's 2.5 liter flat for is swapped for a 3.0 liter flat-6 here. This mill generates 245 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
