Decently Powerful And Fun Practical Sedan — Having owned a 1995 Legacy, this is a night and day difference. The quality seems to have improved greatly, although this is much newer so not a fair comparison. The performance is at least as good as the H6 in the SVX, but the transmission is much more stout and durable. The gas mileage is not fantastic, but its a big, heavy engine in a big, heavy car, so for what it is its decent. The styling is nice and modern, but subtle. It looks good, but its not eye-catching. The suspension is harsh, but it gives it tight handling for the size and mass of the car. The interior is nicely appointed and cleanly designed, with a good amount of modern features. Its very comfortable to drive and very quiet inside. Some of the basic maintenance, like headlight bulbs and spark plugs, are awkward to get to.

Favorite Car I Have Ever Owned Or Driven — I love the overall performance of my car, it handles any weather you throw at it and is fun to drive when it is a beautiful day outside. Not only can it easily get through snow and ice but on a clear day on a windy road it is one hell of a sports sedan and a hell of a lot of fun.

Fast Sedan With Street Cred And The Safety To Match — Great family sedan for the price. It's fast and comfortable. It also has the street cred that camry's and accord's don't. It's a great fun car to drive, though fuel economy suffers greatly with a heavy foot. The si-drive with 3 settings is good. "i" is very slow and non responsive, sports is much sharper while sports # holds the gears longer. Build quality is ok, you can see some cheap plastics but overall it looks pretty good. The macintosh sound system is crisp and sharp but isn't that loud, but should cater for most. The car does get very hot running and may need to cool down after hard driving. Modification of the car is easy and relatively cheap and easy, resulting in much greater performance and handling. The brakes are quite weak and people wanting to track or drive their cars hard may want to upgrade to a big brake kit (bbk). I did and it was the best investment for safety on the roads. The car has a 5 star ncaap euro rating so has airbags galore. The 4wd will increase your grip levels and this car handles well in the dry and amazingly in the wet. Overall a fun car to go for a zippy drive in but also sensible to own with a family.

Economical (2.0 Diesel) All Wheel Drive Evryday Car. Literally Evryday, No Matter Rain Or Snow :) — This one has the 2-liter Boxer Diesel, wich has very good performance for a 2-liter diesel car. Ride is good, rear suspension bit too soft for carrying heavier loads. Quite fun car to drive, and economical too. Styling is bang on, i like it very much. Interior is stylish and simple at the same time, evrything is where it should be.

Pros

This car is a blast to drive and with a few mods will blow the doors off almost anything you see on the road!

Cons

If you don't want AWD and some luxury, this isn't the car for you.

This Is A Great Buy If You're Looking For Some Performance, Luxury And Awd Wrapped Up In One Package — The performance of this car off the lot is decent: it handles well despite the body roll, it accelerates great for the power it has, and the braking isn't the greatest from high speed. The build quality is pretty good with the only qualm I have being the glove box squeaks every so often. The Appearance of the car is stunning, I love it. The cost of ownership as far as maintenance goes is relatively inexpensive, with gas prices climbing premium can get expensive if you romp on it all the time. However you can buy an Accessport and flash the ECU with maps that will support E85 and gas expenses go down dramatically. This is one of the most fun cars I've ever had the chance to drive/own before and ESPECIALLY after I've started modding it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

The Mid Size Vehicle That Few People Are Aware Of. — The Legacy competes with other mid size vehicles. It is also not known to the public and Subaru is a niche brand. However, to those who are looking and search deep enough, this is really a gem in the ruff. For low 20s, it comes standard with a moonroof, powerseats, 17 in alloy wheels, AWD, 2.5 boxer 4cyl that produces 170HP and a sporty ride with good handling thanks to its compact dimensions and AWD.

Hell On Wheels, And No One Knows It. — So far I love this car, it is amazing. It handles and drives better then almost pretty much any car I have ever driven. The factory tires are not up t o par for the caliber of vehicle it is...THe looks are smooth and sweet, professional and dashing. This car is for people who want performance, 4 door sedan, can tackle any of the elements with ease. the seats heat up quick, navi is sweet.. needs xenon lights though... for the money it should have them.. black charcoal sued with black leather, sweet.... factory 18's. 6 speed.

I really like the quality of the car overall has gotta be the best thing.

the gas mileage isn't that great but that is partially due to my right foot and the cold weather.

Nice 4cyl Car — Acceleration is good for a AWD 4cyl, better than most with similar HP and torque, braking is precise, and handling... this thing is all but glued to the ground. It is very fun to drive on dry, wet or iced roads. The gas mileage isn't very 4cyl-like, but thats due to the AWD and lite tire spin from the icy roads Alaska has...

Great Car Overall. — Overall it is a good car. Basic transportation, but it is kind of fun. Could use more power but the manual helps. I have put a lot of miles on it, has survived pretty well, a few squeeks here and there. Gets good mileage too!
