Pros

Great looking, extremely safe, fun to drive, and practical.

Cons

nothing. could use more power.

A Spectacular Choice For A First "grown Up" Car. Neither A Beater, Or A Fancy Statement, — The vehicle is peppy and fun to drive, is extremely dependable, is the safest thing I have ever driven in bad conditions, and has cost me very little to maintain. It makes me happy every time I get inside, and it looks up-scale enough to generate many complements when people ride in it.

Pros

Great commuter car, especially in winter climates. Subaru has made this a very affordable all wheel drive car that handles exceptionally well. Very reliable with low maintenance costs.

Cons

Plastic interior, cheap stereo and speakers. These are small negatives, considering the Pros listed above. They have put the money into the drivetrain and handling.

Fun, Dependable Commuter For Wintry Climates. — Great commuter car. Buy a entry level sedan or hatchback and put in a new stereo and speakers if you like music. The value of this car cannot be matched. Sales and service staff at my local dealership have always been helpful and friendly.

Pros

Absolutely wonderful vehicle for Colorado.  The way it handles in the snow is amazing.  I've never had to take it for maintenance and I have the maintenance history to prove it!

Cons

With the new additions to the family, I need more room, and a little more power!

All Around Perfect For Weather And Cargo. — I liked how comfortable I was taking this car off road to either go fishing or up in the mountains to go skiing. I loved the fact that I never once had any mechanical problems with it for the 25K miles I have driven it.

Cons

Perfect Daily Driver For People Who Like Fast Cars — Great all around car. Also very upgradeable for those who love performance. Stock out of the box it is fast enough to get you in trouble, yet civilized enough to drive daily and not be targeted by the cops. Highly recommended for those who need a performance oriented daily driver. Plus, the AWD is GREAT and the boxer style 4 sounds awesome.

Pros

Turbo, AWD, good looking, reliable, sound.

Cons

Interior quality, passenger seat is very low

My Subaru Wrx 5 Door 2008 — Performance: Awesome acceleration with the turbo, the handling is precise and the AWD makes it perfect for any conditions Build Quality: That's the main drawback about this car. There are a lot of squeaks and the quality material is very cheap (if you compare to a VW golf 2011 for example...). The clutch pedal squeaks. I even had to repair a button, that disappeared in the dashboard when i pushed it... But everything is reliable, no bad words there. Appearance: Everyone likes it. Especially in red (very rare). I like the look of the hatchback, without the look of a Yaris. I have to say the gas mileage is not very great. That's because of the turbo and the AWD system... there's a price for having fun! I like this car a lot, for it's acceleration, it's AWD system and great sound!

Pros

Competent handler with a comfortable ride.

Cons

Poor cargo space.

If You Don't Need The Cargo Space, A Great Compact Car. — Despite the rally heritage, performance is just so-so. It's a nimble handler and extremely comfortable with excellent ergonomics and passenger space. The looks takes getting used to, but overall build-quality is above those in its class. Only downside is extremely poor cargo space which can't even swallow 2 suitcases!

Pros

Boatloads of torque, at lower rpm than previous WRXs

Cons

Gas mileage is a lil' low for daily commute...

Wrx — Great mix of a little comfort, more than enough room, and pretty quick / great handling. Really fun to drive - enough power to get in trouble, but not that much really - I floor it several times each drive, without getting in too muchtrouble. LOVES the curves. Styling is enough for me, not the best looking car but I really don't care. Mileage is good enough, about 19-20 driven aggressively like usual, 24 if i want to get mileage, and 28-30 on the highway (abot 70 the mileage drops a lot). AWD's nice - dont have to buy rear tires often! The '08s have the softest suspension of all WRXs, so I'm replacing the bushings... will do sway bars alsso before too long. OEM Brake pads insufficient for aggressive driving. Overall, great.

Why Wouldn't You Want One? — fun and sporty, but good for normal daily driving, and cruising with friends. great handling, and very quick. good on gas mileage, even when not granny shifting all the time. great styling. nice interior. great options available. overall an awesome machine!

Pros

All wheel Drive

Cons

Vibration in pedals when wipers move

35

Subaru Imprezza '08 — This is my second car and for the most part I'm pleased. I got it in manual which is my personal choice despite being in Los Angeles though I don't know that I like shifting as much as I did in my old Saturn sports car. I love the all wheel drive feature as it really cuts down on the spinning tires which I think happened twice in the year I have owned it. I also like having a back seat since it just so much more convenient. If I had it do do over again I might have opted for the hatch back even though I have never been a fan. My biggest problem is that if I turn the wipers on I feel them moving in the pedals.
