Pros

Steering wheel feel is more sturdy, more drivable on the street with its new engine. Not many other pros, cause the IX is better. Possibly more roomy interior. New styling makes the interior feel more "luxurious," but the IX's is functional and good looking, even if it's not spectacular.

Cons

Felt slightly less stable under high speeds (maybe just cause I was test driving), you don't begin to feel the speed as soon on the IX. Clutch WAY too soft. Possibly one of the softest clutches I have ever felt. Sight lines are not as good. Styling issue-the older Evo's look much nicer, especially the rear end of the Evo X, which looks almost identical to the normal Lancer. Recaros are a little tight around the thighs (mind you, I have the skinniest legs). Pedal location is poor, it's off center and gas pedal placement is too far to the center of the car. It is physically impossible to heel-toe with the heel of your foot on the gas pedal; your right leg hits the center console.

Neutered Version Of The Ix. Save Some Cash, Get An Evo Ix. — A much more civilized version, it is not as pure as the IX. Bigger, heavier, and less attractive, it doesn't really feel like an evolution from the old generation. Engine, however, is very nice, given that it doesn't have the same aggressive feel of the aged 4G63. The turbo spools quicker and the car has very good response, but doesn't have the same sort of kick that you can get from the IX. You only need to tap the throttle to put down a lot of gas, I found that as I tapped the throttle to begin moving, the engine speed jumped to 4000, whereas a small tap on the IX MR I own would only bring up the throttle to around 2000. It is easier to drive on the highway because the turbo spools much more easily; I could accelerate from 60-80 in fifth gear more quickly because the turbo kicked in sooner, whereas the IX needs to be around 3000 RPM before the turbo will spool quickly. On the whole, it is a more softened generation that is supposed to make it less of a teenage-boy car, but because of it the car loses much of its character.

Pros

Great family car with all the options for comfort and yet able to offroad!

Cons

When the rear seats are up to creat more space a blind spot is created.

This Is A 2007 Mitsubishi D5 Delica Premium G — This car has got to be one of the best performing off-road vehicles ever! On the fly to 4wd switch. DS drive with belt drive transmission powered by a high power 2.4l engine. Paddle shift on the wheel. 18 inch alloy rims and low profile tires. All the bells and whistles with power everything including power sliding doors on both sides as well as the ower back hatch. Keyless entry and ignition. 12 Speaker Rockford Fozgate system powered by an 860 Watt Amp! Dual DVD players in the front and rear (8 inch monitor in the front and 9 inch in the rear). 4 cameras for view of the rear and side and fromt when in tight areas or parking areas.

Pros

Great Performance, Acceleration, Appearance

Cons

Bad Paint, Multiple Recalls

45

The Evo Has Evolved — God-like handling coupled with great acceleration make it a powerful sports car. Although it's slightly slower than the last generation Evos, the upgraded technology is a big plus. The paint quality is slightly lacking, but the overall verdict is no doubt positive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Very fast, great handling, basically your own semi-cheap race car

Cons

The Cost, premium fuel only, crappy MPG

If You Can Afford To Buy And Maintain The Vehicle I Highly Recommend It! — Performance: Car handles incredibly well. Take feeder exits going 70mph no problem. Suspension is also great whether you are daily driving or ripping up the track. The stock brembo brakes (4 pot front, 2 pot rear) get the job done and are comparable to stock big brake kits. Build quality: exterior excellent, Interior could use a lot of work but its a major improvement from previous evo's (1-9). Recaro racing seats are a plus. The glove box does tend to rattle on and off it can get quite annoying at times. Appearance: see build quality ^ Cost of ownership: $35,000 car ($500+ a month payments) 18-21 mpg if you drive like a grandma fill up at least 1-2 times a week. IF you get on it its could be up to 4 times a week. $24+ per fill up of 12 gallon tank. maintenance is like most cars. 30$ every 3,000 miles for oil and oil filter change. around 600-700$ for new rubber for tires every 10,000-15,000 miles or so. Fun factor: two words HELL YEAH!

Pros

Handling,seats,power(7.2/10...IMO).

Cons

some don't like the looks, noisy, extremely stiff for everyday driving.

Very Good Performence Car. Espeically If You Are A "track" Guy. — Performance- Good acceleration from 3500RPM to 4400RPM(torque peak), the 4B11 is a aluminum block that provides good power. Not a high speed car due to the lack of aero-dynamics. Braking is awesome thanks to the large brembo brake system. Handling is by far the best feature of this car. The super all wheel drive/active yaw control is the main feature of this car, it corners like no other. You don't have to be a race driver to drive this car.

Pros

Pros- beats anything off the line comes with nice breaks you can lose cops pretty easy i'd imagine it's comfy and roomy ...something about a built in sub? you can mod the computer for 35 more horse it doesn't chirp the tires ever usually

Cons

It's expensive it's very plain jane on the inside It has a very wimpy trany, trust me tops out at 263kmph heavy clutch umm.....it doesn't have sun roof on the gsr lastly the spoiler in the rear view sucks because usually everyone will end up behind you so if you wanted to see all those mustangs, chargers and other silly american cars you zip by, it will be a little tougher to see them.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution — Maker of Fast Moving in all Directions SAWD, yup Super all wheel drive. 3 different active control systems not to mention 3 different sensitivities. Can you take turns over 100kmph? haha, can you slide around at 100kmph in the gravel? Is it way better looking then the subaru competition? Yep, and for the record, the engine sound is not weak, it's very modest and I like how it's soft because I do a lot of relax driving and loud engines are sweet if u can turn them down sometimes. Overall: not your first manual car, clutches will wreck. Also the car's acd asc and ayc systems allow you to way beyond your capabilities. You might feel in less control as a professional driver but that's when you can push your boundaries as well, the car will correct your mistakes. As a rookie driver, I wouldn't recommend this car but for seasoned racers or conditioned reckless drivers, this car makes for a safe thrill every time....oh yah, don't forget that you need to change your rubbers for the season.

Evo X Gsr — Performance is best you can get for the money. Best handling and most solid Evo yet. Amazing tunability. If you look at this beast wrong she will gain 15whp. I Plan to keep her as civil as possible for now but in a few years she will turn into a track monster.

Pros

Fast, amazing twin clutch g ear box, easy to tune, and fun out of the box

Cons

Transmission as of right now is limited to 350 ft/lbs of torque, price was 41.7k, gas tanks is small, and the milage could be better.

45

Evo X Mr Ftw — Well I just got an Evo X MR and when I test drove it it was amazingly quick. A few things I like about the car is that the turbo starts to spool at only 3000 RPM so it launches pretty quick. Its appearance it's nice and looks really good. The interior is much better then the Evo IX's because it has more creature comforts like the seats are now very comfortable and they gave it a gentler suspension. The most useful feature of the Evo X MR that I can see so far is the gear box. Now I know must people think automatics suck ass and to be honest 9 times out of 10 I would be forced to agree, but this is that 1 time out of 10 that I am going to go out on a limb and say this gear box is better then the manual.

Pros

You have to drive one or ride in one to understand the Pros of this car.

Cons

The interior isn't the nicest and the paint sucks for rock chips, pricing is not the best either when compared to the US for the same model.

Ummm It Gets Me From Point A To Point B — This car defines what you are able to do in a car. The Lancer evolution X is the 10th version of this model. When it was released it showed that mitsubishi had taken this evo to a more refined version wanting to get a bigger segment of the market and not just for harcore car addicts. I was a little skeptical of how redefined it would be and whether or not it would be worthy of the evolution badge. I spent about 7 months of research on this car usually during boring classes at u of c. Needless to say I wasn't expecting this much love for the car at that time as I have for it now. In those 7 months of research I looked at many cars from the infiniti g37 to the bmw 335i. I test drove most of the cars I looked at and was pleasently surprised at how equally I liked them, yet how plain the drive was; all except one the lancer evolution x. I was not able to test drive it because it simply had not be built and released in North America. All I could do was watch countless videos of the car and think how it would drive. 7 months later and I was able to test drive the car finally. I instantly knew this was the car I wanted. Even though it doesn't have the BMW badge or the navigation system of the infiniti g37 it didn't matter. This brings us to today, the car loves the ground especially because of the super all wheel control which combines the the active skid control and active yaw control to create a car that would make any idiot driving look like a race car driver. Just point where you want this car to go and it will go. It's 300 HP turbocharged 2.0 liter engine also gives me the ability to do a lane change whenever I want ;) There are however somethings I would not miss. One of them being the paint that Mitsubishi uses. The car comes stock with sticky tires that hug it to the road which makes rock chips a normal thing that often hits the rocker panel. The paint chips really easily and as a result I have had to 3m the rocker panel to keep it from looking like it a machine gun tore threw it. The interior is ok but definitively not bmw. Overall though the cars performance definitely beats out its con's. This car is definitely something that everyone should test drive or ride in to understand what I have said.
