2008 Lincoln Mark LT 4WD Trim Overview

The part-time 4WD system on the 2008 Lincoln Mark LT 4X4 comes with a mechanical center differential and a selection of high- to low-range gearing. It reduces towing capacity by 200 pounds to 8,700 pounds total, because of the extra weight it adds. This luxury pickup functions adequately as a hauler with the optional trailer/tow package, thanks to its double-wishbone front and live axle rear suspension and a 300-hp, 5.4-liter, 24-valve V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 2008 Mark LT 4X4 rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and all-terrain tires, and 20-inch chrome wheels are available. Equipped with 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, dual front airbags and seatbelt pretensioners, the pickup rates around four and five stars in crash tests. Other safety features include mirrors with turn signals, foglights, dusk-sensing headlamps, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. New options this year include a rearview camera.

The 2008 Mark LT 4X4 seats four passengers comfortably, with over 40 inches of legroom in front and just under 40 in the back. The cargo bed comes standard at 5.5 feet long, but a 6.5-foot bed is also available. Tie-downs are standard. Luxury appointments include full power features, 6-way power front captain's chairs with driver's memory, a 6-CD changer that's MP3-compatible, leather upholstery, heated mirrors, intermittent wipers, a trip computer, temperature and compass display, and wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls. New for 2008 is standard satellite radio. The steering wheel, shifter, dash, and doors are decked out in leather, wood, and satin nickel finish. There is a long list of extras, and an appearance package adds monochrome bumpers and moldings and chrome side rails and running boards. Other bundled packages add a sunroof, navigation system, power pedals, DVD player, a new remote start system, folding mirrors, and a power rear window shade.
