Pros

Economical, revvy diesel, amazing performance, space like a truck

Cons

Seats could do better, traction, numb steering

Excellent No-nonsense Family Transporter — As a company car, I chose this Kia Cee'd Sporty Wagon mainly because of its roomy interior. It's actually almost as big as an Audi A6 Avant. The exterior is stylish: the designer did a great job, not simply copying its examples Peugeot 407 SW and Volvo V50. The 1,6 CRDi diesel engine produces 90PS which is not great, but it does produce 255Nm of torque! That's a lot. With a very light flywheel and short transmission, the car has a revvy engine character. It actually accepts heel and toe retrograding while in attack mode. "The car has a great chassis that wants to be driven" (sic. Vicky Butler-Henderson) and I second that! It brakes very well too. The traction on corner exits in the wet could be improved though, certainly on the 115PS version that I drove because the 285Nm of torque simply overmanned the front axle. The seats aren't very supportive. My wife and I have high neck pains when I drive the car too often or too long, so that's a major drawback. The interior finish is light and basic, but what had you expected at this price level? I don't have a problem with it, and everything is solid.

Nice, economical And Comfortable Family Car With Excellent Fuel Consumptiion — This is my first Kia.Bought it because of the advertized good value for money, 7y warranty and high references from a friend, who already has one.I Have the car for 2mo and 3000km.Bougt at 32km on the clock-dealer says it's the maker's test drive. It's a 90bhp diesel with enough acceleration for city driving, what I do most of the time. Nice handling on motorways, good acceleration for overtaking.Reliable brakes on dry and wet roads- no ESP.Not yet tested in winter conditions. No body roll over corners, nice handgrip, very stable on road.Qiet in town, but can be noisy at high speeds on highways-if radio off, wind sound may be boring.Otherwise, very qiet engine. Suspension hard-nothing to do with my old Mitsubishi Galant.Anyway, comfortable ride on long journeys-does not tire you after 5-6h drive. Roomy cabin space - enough for 4 adults for nice, comfortable ride on long distances.Seats cofortable although a little bit hard. The boot swallows the luggage of three persons for a 2 week vacation with ease.Gadjets on dashboard easy to reach,no silly alarms.Very easy to turn and park in city.Steering lihgt and excellent for city driving, hardens at high speeds.Excellent l/100km-at 120km/h drops at 4.8l.In a trafic jam goes to 7.5l with a/c permanently set on max.Audiosystem excellent. For some the colour of the dash board lights may be annoying, for me it's OK.SOme cheap interior plastics but if you are not a snob, it's annoying. So far no rattles and squeaks,no problems at all. It's a fun-to-drive car for me, because I'm not a racer.I'm eager to get in to it every day!I,m also eager to see wether it'll be that reliable as my old Mitsubishi Galant was! If you are not a snob, you buy a car to meet your needs. At this time the Ceed meets mine on 100%!Buy it,you won't regret!

Pros

It's a caravan, but in sport drive it handles prety good, almost excellent!

Cons

Fuel consumption

25

Family/sport Driving — Acceleration 3/5, for 126HP, it doesn't uses all power to accelerate, braking very good its 60/40 balanced, handling is for that caravan excellent! Build quality is very good, no problems with that now it has 130 000 km in 3 years, and for now no problems, off course with regular services every 15 000/20 000 km..interior quality is good, and exterior design is very pleased for eyes. only problem is fuel consumption, because it's caravan, and for that big car the 1,6l engine is just to weak, but in all driving it on open road brings to you some kind of sport driver. so it's family, and sport car in one, all in all 4/5

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

It's A Tool, Not An Object Of Desire. By Nuno

Engine is responsive. 5 speed manual gearbox is good but the gearbox handle feels awkward. Good brakes. Fuel consumption is about 6,5 l/100km with some hard driving. Quite stable at speed. Does not ... Read More

It's a sexy and small town-car. Ours has an automatic gear-box for comfy traffic-jam sitting, leather insides and a roof hatch. To add to overall sexiness, it came with tattoos on both sides. The onl... Read More
