CarGurus Overview
The Veracruz Limited AWD's full-time all-wheel drive can't be taken off-roading, but it does provide an increased feeling of security in tough weather and road conditions. Hyundai's biggest car is also its most luxurious, with leather seating, power front seats, memory settings for the seats, mirrors, and steering wheel, and a power sunroof. This adds to what you already get on the SE trim - full power features, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, leather trim, a CD changer/MP3 player, satellite radio, a trip computer, security system, remote entry and garage opener, and a console that does double time as a cooler. Seven people fit in three rows. The second row splits 60/40 and slides forward, while the third row splits 50/50 and folds flat. Trunk space is small, starting at 6.5 cubic feet and maxing out at 87 with the second and third rows foled flat, but a roof rack is standard and a tow hitch (for up to 3,500 pounds) is optional. The 2008 Veracruz Limited AWD also features a power liftgate.
Powered by a 3.8-liter, 260-hp DOHC V6 and 6-speed shiftable automatic, the AWD comes with a mechanical center differential and 18-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires. Intermittent front and rear wipers are standard, along with automatic headlights, foglights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, backup sensors, and mirrors with turn signals. An outstanding five-star safety rating is earned through standard ABS brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, traction and stability control, a tire monitor, and six airbags, including side curtain bags for all three rows. The exterior features step boards for easier access and a rear spoiler for a sportier appearance. If music doesn't keep the kids happy, you can add a DVD player and surround sound. A first aid kit is also optional, along with carpeted mats and a cargo tray.
This overview covers the Limited AWD trim only.
