The value depreciation.

Pretty & Peppy — Hyundai's come a long way. I was looking for a stylish, sporty car with a peppy engine with reasonable gas mileage & found it @ Hyundai. I went with the 4 cylinder turbo & it has just the right amount of zip. The sleek styling turns heads & I've been asked several times who the manufacturer of my car is. I love my Tiburon! It's an absolute joy to drive.

Pros

Styling, you could get pulled over even while parked!

Cons

Excessive road noise on rough road surfaces and the seating could be more comfortable for those longer road trips.  Put your wallet in the console if you will be sitting in the driver's seat for more than an hour.

Overall 1-10. I Would Give It An 8 Out Of 10 For The Cost As Far As Fun And Styling. — I bought mine used with 14K on it and have since doubled that. Road trips AL-AZ & AL-AR and back. Averaged almost 30mpg setting the cruise ctl-highest was 35mpg pushing most states speed limits. (West Texas is 80mpg-they told me to slow down); even while running the AC. The front wheel drive sticks to the road as we drove through Memphis during their extreme rain. No you would not want to drive through a foot of water for a very long time but the occasional pools the car stuck to the road and "swam" through thanks to the sticky FWD and the car's ability to throw away the water from the fenders. Does the name mean "shark" in some language? The 6-spd manual does take some getting used to and the true transfer of power to the road does not really appear in feel and output to the speedometer until you hit about 3500 rpm. No you will probably not win a race off the light at first but once you get this car rolling and up to "speed" I think it would run forever. Outside of gas/oil changes I have put nothing into the car-except paying for XM radio. Overall a generally fun to car to drive on the road either or to work. Want more save up and buy a new Audi/Lambo provided you can afford the insurance.

Pros

its fun smooth and comes with a smile

Cons

lack of power with such a sporty car only 138bhp to the wheels

45

Good Car But Not For 30k+ More Or Less Around 20k Would Have Sufficed — breaking is weak considering the GS has no ABS or ETC understandable the 5spd shifts smoothly with the exeptopn of 2nd gear bit of grind, handling could be tighter in 60km corners, but overall aceleration is smooth and hard. would have loved to see a turbo model make it to the floor, 36k was the price tage with everything, $40 to filler at $1.00 a ltr, that and the lack of 138bhp and a 130whp with a 8hp rob on the belt system

Pros

Stunning looks, classy interior, amazing stereo

Cons

Lacking a bit of power, automatic tranny is less then expected

Hyundai Tiburon — This is a great car, its comfortable, great to drive, and has an amazing stereo. Performance is ample, however I would not recommend the automatic transmission, it lags a bit on the shifting especially when trying to use the tiptronic part of the transmission. However the looks of this car are stunning.

Great Car To Have — I love my new car, its pretty fast, it handles well and the exhaust has an aggressive note to it. i love the styling and it is very fun to drive it. it's packed with a 2.7L v6 cranking out about 172 HP and all that power is passed through a 6 speed manual transmission. comes stock with 17 in. alloy wheels and wrapped in 215/45 R17 tires.

Pros

Sporty and fun to drive, ample horsepower and better than listed fuel economy. Owned since new and no major issues or maintenance. 47.9k original miles, this ride the shark is a joy to drive. Averaging 20-22 mpg city.

Cons

No back seat room, especially when driver is tall. Not really a car for a big or tall (over 6'2") person.

An Exciting Car To Drive That Seems To Get Alot Of Questions. — I removed the hyundai emblems, now the car gets a lot of looks and questions, "nice car, who makes it?" Good gas mileage with plenty of pep and speed. Very reliable and fun to drive. At 47.9k original one owner miles, it is averaging between 20-22 mpg city/work. Plan on keeping it for some time.

2008 Hyundai Tiburon Gt — There isn't much that I don't like about this car. Its so fun drive and handles beautifully. It's a beautiful looking car that is low maintenance. Gets decent gas milage (about 20MPG) I love it and would love to keep it, but I need something bigger now. Will be so sad to see her go.

its fun to drive an looks very aggressive compared to the prior body styles

havent found anything yet except that it doesnt have a turbo option from the factory but that changed when the genisis came out with the 2.0t model

Shark — fun car with lots of possibilitys, im going with a tuscani conversion right now to put the 2.7 supercharged elisa motor in. The gas mileage is great for now until the new motor is put in then it will drop to about 17 mpg, for a fun factor i give it high scores its a blast to drive has enough power an handles amazing, with being light in the rear the car has a nice slide curve to it when hitting corners hard i wanna put in new tuscani front an rear sway bars and a top mount strut tower bar to see if that stiffens it up a little more
