2008 Hummer H3 Base Trim Overview

There are no major changes to the 2008 Hummer H3 Base model, a mid-sized four-wheel drive SUV packing a 3.7-liter, 242-hp DOHC I5 engine and choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.  The four-wheel drive features four settings ranging from high to low gear ranges and a locking center differential.  Nine inches of ground clearance, skid plates, 16-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a truck-like suspension make this SUV a tough and true off-roader.  ABS brakes, traction and stability control, dual front airbags, electronic brake assist, foglights, automatic headlights, daytime running lights, dusk-sensing headlights, and a tire monitor are standard safety features.

The 2008 H3 Base seats four in two rows, with split-folding rear seats that expand the 29 cubic foot cargo area to 56 cubic feet.  A roof rack and tie-downs are standard, and a trailer hitch can be added.  A rooftop lightbar is also optional.  Standard equipment includes full power features, cruise control, a CD player, intermittent wipers, temperature display and a compass, OnStar, keyless entry, and cupholders in front and back.  Options available separately or in packages include heated leather seats, power front seats, satellite radio, a sunroof, a CD changer, chrome accents, and an off-road package that beefs up the suspension, tires, and adds a locking rear differential.
