2008 Hummer H2 Base Trim Overview

A new 393-horsepower, 6.2-liter Vortec V8 engine powers the 2008 Hummer H2 Base trim, which receives a number of interior enhancements designed to improve the big SUV's "rugged luxury" status. A new six-gauge instrument panel, head side-curtain airbags, a panic brake assist system, and an optional DVD entertainment system and optional full third-row seating are some of the additions for 2008.

Standard features for the 2008 H2 Base include a remote vehicle starter, leather-appointed seats with eight-way power adjustment for front passengers, dual-zone heating and cooling, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a Bose nine-speaker audio system, and XM satellite radio.

The Base H2 also comes equipped with a number of features designed to improve the vehicle's safety on the road, including the StabiliTrak stability enhancement system, a traction control system, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and daytime running lights.

Options include a self-leveling air suspension package, a rear vision camera system, a sunroof with express open and close, and a chrome appearance package with chrome hood handles, hood latches, and bright door sill plates.
