2008 Honda Pilot VP Trim Overview

New for 2008, the Honda Pilot VP takes the place of the LX, which was available on the previous year's roster, and serves as the Pilot's entry-level vehicle. And although it's priced slightly higher than the LX it replaces, the Pilot VP (for Value Package) offers a fairly decent range of standard features.

For instance, it comes with such features as rear privacy glass, a roof rack, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, machine-finished alloy wheels, and a seven-speaker AM/FM stereo system with XM satellite radio and a six-disc CD changer.

Other standard features include antilock brakes, traction control, Brake Assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, power windows and door locks, cruise control, and a remote entry system.

Under the hood of the 2008 Pilot VP, Honda dropped a 3.5-liter, single-overhead-cam i-VTEC V6 engine that produces 244 horsepower. It links to a five-speed automatic transmission.
