2008 Honda CR-V EX-L Trim Overview

The L in the 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L stands for leather, rather than luxury. Nevertheless, the EX-L adds a lot more standard features to what you get with the EX. The front-wheel-drive compact SUV seats five in two rows, with a 35-cubic-foot cargo area expandable to 73 cubic feet. Changes for 2008 include the addition of a standard 8-way power driver's seat with power lumbar support, dual-zone climate control, and a 7-speaker sound system for the in-dash 6-CD player with MP3 playback and satellite radio. The 2008 CR-V EX-L already outdoes the EX with its leather upholstery, heated seats, and temperature display. A navigation system is also optional only for the EX-L.

Fueled by a 2.4-liter, 166-hp iVTEC DOHC inline four-cylinder engine and 5-speed automatic, the 2008 EX-L comes with the same safety features as the rest of the CR-V lineup. This includes 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, traction and stability control, Hill Descent Control, a tire monitor, daytime running lights, 17-inch wheels with all-season tires, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags. Foglights and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are available. Full power features, a sunroof, wheel-mounted audio and cruise control, privacy glass, intermittent front and rear wipers, reclining front and rear seats, a retractable tray, remote entry, and eight cupholders are family friendly. Rear seats split-fold and move fore and aft, and the cargo area comes with standard tie-downs. A shelf, cover, and net can be added, along with a roof rack, rear spoiler, and running boards.
