A Excellent Value For Money — Performance: Great was really surprised with diesel. Braking is good but tends to fade under heavy braking and off road driving. handling is good for its size. its got the normal ford squeaky suspension mounts and the top section off the dash rattles a bit. Its got a very muscular appearance which i love. i get about 760 km on a 80liter tank of diesel maintenance isn't to expensive. And its a lot of fun to drive but on sand and gravel roads it starts coming alive.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

cheap to run, good work horse!!

Cons

Only big enough for 2 men.

Great Little Work Horse, Good Gas Mileage. — Not very fast but at the end of the day... its a work truck and I'd give it 5 stars for that. Its built tough, and has been put through its paces. Exterior is ok. I got the pick up bed sprayed with colour matched Line-x bedline both inside the bed and outside. along with tool boxes and ladder rack. Pretty cheap to run on gas, compared to the avergage canadian truck. Great 2 person truck, plenty of room, and enough room to store things in behind the front seats. Once all my equipment is off the truck, its nippy and pretty quick.

Pros

Powerful engine, strong, and reliable

Cons

Gas mileage

Very Good Truck With The Only Minus Being The Gas Mileage — I like the powerful V6 engine and quick acceleration and the ability to haul that I didn't have in the Mazda. My only complaint is that the gas mileage could be better but with a pickup truck with a 4.0l V6 and 4.10 gear ratio in the rear poor mileage is to be expected. It is a very fun vehicle to drive because for a pickup truck it handles quite well with its rack and pinion steering.

Pros

If you want a truck but don't need anything as big as an F-150.

Cons

Ford brakes and transmission

45

I Love It. — Like all new Fords, the brakes 'chirp' at only 20,000 miles of wear. The gas mileage is roughly around 17-20 mpg. The truck was a bit pricey for being so small though. But it was worth it. Its really hard to keep clean though with it being black.

Pros

Gorgeous colour, good highway gas mileage.

Cons

City gas mileage not the greatest.

08 Ford Ranger Sport — Good gas mileage, great highway mileage. Build quality is great. Fun to drive, goes pretty well anywhere I want to go. Good for camping, box can handle all camping gear. Drives great, awesome acceleration, braking and handling. Nice contrast between the exterior black colour and the interior black/grey colour. Vinyl floor makes it easy to clean.

Fun Little Truck — i like the fact that its a small truck so i can still have toys but its not a monster to drive or a gas hog. What i dont like is that its not enough horse power.

Fully loaded... EVERYTHING

Cons

It's a small truck but it will grow up someday.

Grabber Orange — This is my second Ranger and I love it more than anything. There's no other small truck that you get this much for this price.

Pros

Short length overall so its easy to maneuver and park. Its good for a small "rarely needed" pickup.

Cons

The 3.0 engine gets horrible gas mileage. 14 to 15 city and 19 to 21 highway (if I barely touch the gas pedal).

How Would I Sum Up This Truck ? — This Ford Ranger Regular cab, short bed, 4x4, 3.0 Liter engine with automatic overdrive transmission is a good vehicle for light daily needs BUT, it could have had better engineered by way of manual lock out hubs for the front 4x4 axle and proper gear ratio's for fuel economy with the 3.0 Liter engine (the Ford F150 4.6 gets the same fuel mileage in a much bigger size and more cargo/towing capacity) . Its almost as if Ford got to the 29th mile of a 30 mile road race and forgot it was a 30 mile course.

Cons

Great Truck For Me — For completely stock, she's quite torquey. 4.0L stock under the hood, along with everything else as well for now. Building from the ground up as soon as it is paid off, which will make it even better to drive. Going to drop in a 5.0L mustang engine and transmission along with brembo brake kit, different gearing in the back, re-gearing the 4wd to handle higher speeds, lowering kit, and a brand new coat of paint.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
